Terms of Service

Effective October 21, 2026

These terms are an agreement between Valitura ("we", "us") and the organization or person that creates an account ("you") for CISO Doc at cisodoc.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

1. The Service

CISO Doc is a platform that helps security advisors capture client information, generate security and compliance documentation, and track risks, vendors, remediation and compliance activities. It is intended for business use only.

2. Accounts and workspaces

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and workspace, including by people you invite.
  • Account owners and administrators control who has access and at what role. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Plan limits on users and active engagements apply as described on our pricing page.

3. Your content

You own the information you put into the Service ("Customer Content"), including client information and the documents generated from it. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit and display Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service.

You are responsible for Customer Content and for having all rights, consents and notices needed to provide it to us, including from your own clients. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, and we process Customer Content under a data processing agreement on request.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe or bypass the security of the Service;
  • access data you are not authorized to access, or share account access outside your organization;
  • resell the Service or build a competing product from it; or
  • submit information you are not permitted to share, including regulated data you have no authority to process.

5. Generated documents are not professional advice

Documents, control mappings, gap analyses, scores and other output are generated from templates and the information you provide. They are starting points that you must review, adapt and approve. They are not legal, regulatory, audit or other professional advice, and we do not guarantee that any output will satisfy a framework, regulator, auditor, insurer or customer, or that you will obtain or keep any certification.

6. Plans, trials and billing

  • You can start a free trial without entering payment details. When the trial ends, continued use requires a paid plan.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe, and renew automatically until canceled. Prices are those shown at purchase, plus any applicable taxes. We will give notice before changing the price of an existing subscription.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • If a payment fails, we will give a seven-day grace period. After that the workspace becomes read-only until payment is resolved.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in a written agreement with us.
  • Enterprise plans may be governed by a separate written agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.

7. Third-party services

The Service can connect to third-party services such as Slack, Google, GitHub and an e-signature provider. Your use of them is your choice and is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for them.

8. Our intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, templates, control content and design. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. You may use the documents generated for you for your own and your clients' business purposes. If you give us feedback, we may use it without restriction.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Service levels apply only if stated in a written agreement.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other customers. After termination we will make Customer Content available for export for a reasonable period and then delete or anonymize it as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising out of these terms or the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Content or your breach of these terms, and pay resulting damages, costs and reasonable attorneys' fees, provided we give you prompt notice and reasonable cooperation.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and each party consents to that jurisdiction and venue.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If changes are material we will notify account owners by email or in the Service before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.

16. General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any written order or agreement, are the entire agreement between us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of our business. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
